How to Increase Faucet Water Pressure

There are many times when we wonder why the water pressure in our faucets has decreased over the last couple of months or even over the last year.

Many people think this will mean that they need a new faucet and right away call a plumber or go running to the local hardware store or chain store like home depot.

Did you know that 95% of the time a 30 second fix can increase the water pressure in your faucet by 50% or more just by cleaning out the faucet aerator.

Most Faucets are equipped with something called an aerator or stainer, and this can be easily removed by simply twisting the aerator counter clockwise.

Once you have removed the aerator you will probably notice that it is filled with debris or other mineral deposits that might have come through your home plumbing main water line. Just wash out all the fragments and mineral deposits and screw the aerator back on the faucet and you will notice that your water pressure will be way better then it was before.

Some common causes of these types of blockages are construction that was being done in your neighborhood water lines or simply just heavy minerals that are in your tap water that are provided by your city water supply or well water supply.

Now that you have that brand new faucet water pressure feeling back, make sure you clean your faucet airators every couple of weeks to make sure you get that pressure that you deserve.
